An apologetic robber has been jailed indefinitely over a string of attacks.

Desmond McKenna (born 07/08/66) of Carlton Avenue, Old Trafford, was given an indeterminate sentence for public protection (IPP) at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square today, Wednesday 11 August 2010.

Greater Manchester Police has put plans in place to ensure that all visitors to this year’s Caribbean Carnival enjoy a safe and entertaining event.
